Getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays a lot of times you forget to celebrate it with the people that make the season most meaningful. Below are 3 simple, last-minute ways to celebrate with your significant other this weekend and make the most of the last few days of the holidays.

  1. Checking out the city lights: This is hands down the best time of year to check out the lights downtown. Take a few minutes this weekend to drive around checking out the lights while listening to your favorite Christmas music or instead bundle up and take a stroll downtown or around the neighborhood.
  2. Hot Chocolate & errands: With the final countdown for Christmas, chances are most people will be out getting last minute Christmas gifts for the people on their list that have them stumped. It’s easy to get caught up more in the shopping than the Christmas spirit, so turn your last minute holiday errands into a more festive outing. Grab a good cup of hot chocolate or dessert together to slow down and take in the Christmas spirit.
  3. Make the post of your holiday parties: All the Christmas festivities this season might seem overwhelming, but it’s the best way to get into the holiday spirit with friends, family, and colleagues. This season is always full of occasions to break out a suit and tie and give your s/o and excuse to dress up, so take advantage and turn it into a cool date night.

This season I’ve been wearing tons of henleys. They are a great piece for layering to warm up during the winter and I found a bunch of good options at Banana Republic. Another versatile find for menswear during the holidays is this jacket that could pass with a casual look or dressed up with a nice sweater and button down. This one is a great take on a trench coat that will work for any of your holiday celebrations. Find a few more great options to celebrate in style below:

There are so many different types of jackets that are in style this year. You really can’t go wrong with a classic pea coat, top coat, bomber or leather jacket. With all this cold weather I definitely need to have a variety in my outerwear, especially with all of the holiday parties I’ll be attending this year. Below our 3 pieces to own to not only look the part at each event but feel comfortable as well.

| THE JACKET | : This topcoat is the perfect jacket to tie together any outfit. It will pair great with slacks and denim, and also gives off a classic polished feel.

| THE ACCESSORY | : During the winter months I always try to add an extra touch to my outfit with a scarf. It can help your outfit look a little more festive for those holiday parties.

| THE DENIM | : Slim fitting and comfortable is always my go to. Let’s be honest some of these parties can be long and very uncomfortable and there’s nothing worse then jeans or slacks that don’t fit right or feel good. These jeans look great with casual sneakers or cuffed with a pair of your favorite boots.

When holiday festivities are outside as often as they are indoors, you never know how much time you’ll spend out in the cold or inside with a cup of hot chocolate so dressing for the occasion can be tricky. This season I’ve partnered with Lucky Brand to talk about finding the perfect outfit for all holiday festivities.

Layer up:  Stick to a lot of layers that you can take on and off as needed to adjust. Every guy should own a denim jacket – it’s a good piece you can wear year-round and not just during the holidays. A light hoodie is another good option to transition between festivities. You can also throw on a cool bomber or leather jacket for another layer that works for dressy or casual occasions.

Warm winter accessories: It’s always smart to have a neutral beanie or scarf in your car. They add a lot of warmth and having them on hand for those holiday activities will always pay off.

Good boots: A good leather boot will get a lot of wear for the holidays. It works with a sweatshirt and jeans or a sport coat and button down so it’s really versatile and can transition for whatever any holiday dress code. This pair from Lucky is really comfortable for walking around checking out the lights in the city. They have more great boots to choose from here.
